Sunday School
Explorer Report:
God uses the example of fruit to help us understand how followers of Jesus produce something called, the fruit of the Spirit.  If we believe in Jesus, God gives us the Holy Spirit to help us grow more like him. The fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being patient, kind and good. It is being faithful and gentle and having control if oneself. This is our scripture memory verse found in Galatians 5:23-23a. What is God doing in you to change the world around you?  How can we love others like God does? How can we choose joy even when are not happy? How can we find peace even when life seems hard? What do you do when you have to wait? These are questions we will be seeking answers to through out the month.  Thank you for helping our amazing Sunday School students to be successful!! Remember they are our future worship leaders, preachers, youth leaders, sunday school teachers, small group leaders, evangelists, spirit filled life speaking men and women of God.!!!

LOVE LETTERS FROM JESUS     by Elane Horgus

Today I am writing about ATTITUDE.

We, as born again Christians, sometimes have to be reminded about out attitudes! This is the attitude God wants us to work toward. He wants us to have the attitude of Christ. We find these words in the Book of Philippians 2:1.

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ ?
Any comfort from His love?
Any fellowship together in the Spirit ?
Are your hearts tender and compassionate ?

Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don’t be selfish, don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than ourselves. Don’t lookout only for your own interests, but take interest in others too. You must have the same attitude that Jesus Christ had.
Vs.6- Though He was  God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to

Vs. 7-Instead He gave up His divine privileges, He took up the humble position of a slave and was born a human being. When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on the cross. Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honour and gave Him the name above all names. That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow in Heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord; to the glory of God, the Father.

We should obey God with deep reverence and Godly fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.

Vs.14-Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that  no one can criticize you. Live clean innocent lives as children of God, shining lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life, then on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my word was useless.

Dearest Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Let us remember all this in your
                                Power and strength !!
I love you, Jesus, for dying for me………...Elane
